
The World Union of Wholesale Markets - WUWM
The World Union of Wholesale Markets (WUWM) is a non-profit association that aims to promote the international exchange of information on wholesale and retail markets, with a view to improving their construction, organization and management. The WUWM pursues its aims by organizing conferences and specialized meetings, global collection and analysis of data on markets, publishing reports and studies and exchanging experience, knowledge and expertise necessary for overall benefit of the membership.
One of the WUWM’s foremost objectives is to pool this expertise and provide the authorities responsible for the establishment and management of new markets concrete with the necessary professional advice. WUWM is open to all wholesale and retail markets around the world, including national and regional associations, as well as to local authorities that own or operate wholesale or retail markets, private market companies, institutes and organizations. Firms and individuals interested in the trade may also become associated members. .

To promote the essential role that wholesale and retail markets play in ensuring the sustainable development, availability and distribution of a large variety of quality fresh products, whilst maintaining competitive prices and the highest standards of service and food security, throughout the international community.
